Message from our President, Janet Schulz

President, Janet Schulz
The garden season is well underway and it is time to address a few things that really need your attention.
Gardening, although therapeutic, can also be hazardous to your health.
When was your last tetanus shot? It is important that you as gardeners keep current because of all the ‘stuff’ we come in contact with while working in the soil.
Check yourself for ticks. One of our members was unaware of a tick on her neck at her hairline until visiting the beauty parlor for a hair cut.
Watch your back and knees and gardening will be a beneficial pastime rather than a painful one. Now that you have all been lectured to, it is time to get out there and have a really good time!
On another note, Maggie’s tree is planted and a dedication date will be set in the near future. Will keep you all posted.

Happy Gardening, Janet
